Notice of AGM
Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meetings of the Ashburnham Golf Company Limited and The Ashburnham Golf Club will be held at the clubhouse on Friday 23rd January 2026. The Company Meeting will commence at 7.00pm and the Club Meeting immediately afterwards. Minutes of the 2025 Annual General Meetings and additional information are displayed on the Club’s notice board and can be accessed on the Club’s website for consideration at the meetings (please see links below). The Agenda’s for the meetings will be displayed on the Club’s notice board and website seven days before the meetings.
Any motions to be considered at the Company and Club’s AGM for the alteration of, or addition to, the Companies Articles of Association or the Club’s Rules & Bye-Laws respectively must be delivered to the Director of Golf or Chair of Directors for it to be placed on the Club’s Notice Board and website at least fourteen days before the meeting, i.e. 9th January 2026 (7.00pm). The alteration of, or addition to, the Companies Articles of Association or the Club’s Rules & Bye-Laws, respectively, for such a motion to succeed, it must obtain the sanction of at least three-fourths of the members voting at the meeting.
In accordance with the Club’s Rule 24, any member wishing to bring forward any business at the Club’s AGM shall give notice in writing to the Director of Golf or Chair of Directors at least seven days before the meeting, i.e. 16th January 2026 (7.00pm).
All nominations for Directors and Councillors, along with any items for consideration or questions relating to the AGM, are to be delivered or submitted to the Director of Golf or Chair of Directors at least seven days before the meeting, i.e. 16th January 2023 (7.00pm).
Company Vacancies
There are two vacancies for three years’ service as a Director of Ashburnham Golf Company Ltd for election at the AGM on Friday, 23rd January 2026.
Council Vacancies
There are five vacancies for one year’s service as a Councillor on the Council of Ashburnham Golf Club for election at the AGM on Friday, 23rd January 2026.
Any members interested in serving as a Director or Councillor are requested to complete one of the nomination forms, which are available on the club’s noticeboard and below. For Company Vacancies, nominees are asked to attach a brief CV detailing their work background and experience.
Please note that only ordinary members have the right to vote at a General Meeting (an ordinary member is a twelve-month male or female member paying full or concessionary rates).
