The 1st hole starts with a classic par 3 like Royal Lytham St Annes and Walton Heath. Playing from an elevated tee next to the clubhouse this challenging hole generally plays with the prevailing wind. Bunkers protect the green at the front and sides with out of bounds not too far away on the right. There are few better feelings than starting your round watching a good shot land on this green. An excellent start to an excellent course.
